Introducing SpeedLine 7.1: New maintenance release adds receipt emailing, new driver pay reporting, other features

In a new maintenance release, SpeedLine introduces several key enhancements to SpeedLine 7.

Among the new capabilities in SpeedLine 7.1:

  • For more hardware upgrade options, SpeedLine 7.1 adds support for 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and 8.
  • New U.are.U fingerprint sensor drivers speed up fingerprint scanning—by up to 15X —eliminating frustrating wait time for logins and overrides. If you already use fingerprint sensors (or used to), all your existing fingerprint data is kept.
  • Now you can email guest receipts. Offer this option at the till, use it to email a receipt to a guest who calls to say the driver forgot, or quickly email a receipt for an expense claim to a business customer who lost the original.
  • Easily review driver wages for time worked in-store versus on the road in your standard pay period reports. Look into possible savings in workers' compensation premiums if a lower rate is charged on wages for safer "in-store" tasks versus higher risk "on-the-road" time for drivers.
