Posted by Lisa Siddons on Wed, Dec 28, 2016 @ 07:12 AM

It’s human nature: no matter how good the food and service, every restaurant will experience some complaints. What sets successful restaurants apart is how they handle them.

There is no question—customers who report a problem expect a quick answer. A fast and positive response can increase customer loyalty beyond what it was before the negative experience. But ignoring customer complaints can cost you customers. Not only the complainers, but potentially their friends (real and virtual), family, and anyone who reads their negative reviews online.  Check out these 3 tactics to dealing with customer complaints:

Pizza Franchise – Which Concept is Right for You?

Posted by Tricia Hoy on Mon, Apr 11, 2016 @ 15:04 PM

Considering a franchise? Pizza is big business. First introduced in New York City in 1905, pizza has taken the US by storm. In 2015, according to Statista, the pizza industry saw over 38 billion dollars in sales in the United States. Pizza is so big, that if Americans could choose to eat only one food for the remainder of their lives, they say it would have to be pizza, as mentioned in the Pizza Industry Analysis 2016.

You might be thinking that you want to get in on this—and if you are, your first decision is whether to buy a franchise or start an independent restaurant. It’s a big decision, and one you don’t want to take lightly. As mentioned by Eddy Goldberg in the How-to Franchise Guide, your decision making process should begin with a self-assessment. Ask yourself a few questions: Do I need creative control over the business, or am I more comfortable in an environment where the business model is pre-determined? Will my budget account for the franchising fees?  Many people who have bought franchises have enjoyed the benefits of a franchise including: brand awareness, purchasing in economies of scale, marketing and peer support, internal training and franchisor support.

Are your customers cheating on you online?

Posted by Courtney de Wolde on Mon, Jan 11, 2016 @ 08:01 AM

Online ordering is far from new. But the restaurant brands who do it best may well be eating your lunch.

It’s no secret that chains make up a huge share of the US pizza market. But between 2013 and 2014, a new dynamic came into play. Over a one-year period, larger pizza chains with online ordering increased their share of pizza orders from 47% to more than 52% of US pizza sales (NPD Group).

Boost Business with House Accounts

Posted by Lisa Siddons on Thu, Dec 03, 2015 @ 07:12 AM

Do you extend credit to business, schools, or charities? Extending credit through house accounts can have many benefits, especially if your goal is to increase lunchtime business.

Increased Loyalty
